It is distinguished by its soft and slightly tart taste and know as the sweetest of all types of honey. Its sweet taste makes is especially popular with children.Thanks to its light aroma and consistency, it is a popular sweetener in many foodstuffs and beverages.
It comes from acacia groves in southern Slovakia, mostly around Rimavská Sobota, Veľký Krtíš and Lučenec.
