The colour of this honey ranges from light yellow to pale green, and so it is usually considered the lightest common honey variety.
Due to its high fructose content, it stays liquid for a long time and crystallises slowly, after which its color changes from clear to cream-yellow.
It is known as the sweetest honey type, making it very popular with children. Thanks to its mild aroma and light texture, it is a popular choice for sweetening many foodstuffs and beverages.
This honey comes from acacia groves in southern Slovakia, mostly around Rimavská Sobota, Veľký Krtíš and Lučenec.
